Base, city team up to fight alcohol problems

In the days leading up to the Fourth of July holiday, Col. David Iverson, 366th Fighter Wing commander, launched a special effort on base to encourage responsible drinking behavior by the men and women under his command.

But his concern didn't end at the base gates. He also met in Mountain Home with Mayor Tom Rist and several of the owners of area bars to see what could be done to help solve a variety of problems associated with alcohol use.
