Gary McGrath

Gary Lee McGrath, 67, of Mountain Home, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 28, 2014.

A celebration of Gary's life will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, June 7, at Good Counsel Hall in Mountain Home. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Gary was born on Feb. 2, 1947, in Boise, Idaho, to O.J. and Helen McGrath.

He lived in Mountain Home all his life. He graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1965 and went to Boise State University for two years.

Gary worked at Sawtooth Lumber for many years. Later, he became director of housekeeping at Mountain Home Air Force Base, but retired from Elmore County Hospital as director of housekeeping.

Gary married Imelda Rombaoa, on Sept. 17, 1999, in the Philippines. She was the love of his life.

They spent their years together fishing, hunting and just enjoying being with each other.

Gary is survived by his wife, Imelda, two daughters, Teri Acree and Sandie Anderson, four grandchildren, Jessica, Lindsey, Brandon and Brittani, five great-grandchildren, Raleigh, Janessa, Jayla, Marlie and Hunter, aunts, cousins and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
