Jim Young

James A. "Jim" Young, 64, of Mountain Home, died May 23, 2014, at home.

No services will be held per Jim's request. Cremation is under the care and direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Jim was born to Russell and Evelyn Young in Duluth, Minn., on Jan. 28, 1950.

Jim worked at the grain elevators on Lake Superior. One of his greatest loves was owning a boat and fishing on that lake. When he moved to Mountain Home in 1995, he, disappointingly, couldn't drag Lake Superior with him so he took up golf instead.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Mari Young, three stepchildren, Nick Borchert and wife Rebecca, Kyle Borchert and wife Julie, and Megan Finn and husband Dan, five grandchildren, Braylon Borchert, Aiden Borchert, Parker Borchert, Amilia Borchert and Caleb Borchert, as well as two sisters, Sandy Klapperich and Phyllis Young. All will greatly miss him.

Jim was preceded in death by both his parents.

The family would like to thank the physicians and staff at Mountain States Tumor Institute for their professionalism and care. They would also like to thank the staff at Horizon Home Health and Hospice for going way beyond the call of duty in providing loving care for Jim. Additionally, a sincere thank you to all the friends and family for their prayers and their help.
