Lois Turner

Lois P. (Dick) Turner passed away March 29, 2014, at Saint Alphonsus Boise of natural causes.

Lois was born May 11, 1929 in Burley, Idaho. She is a graduate of Burley High School.

She met Leo Turner, from Murtaugh, Idaho, and later wed in 1948.

After living in Murtaugh, Burley and Buhl, Lois and Leo settled in Mountain Home in 1962, where Lois assisted Leo in business there until their retirement and migration to Portland, Ore., in 2000.

They enjoyed their retirement there until 2012, when they returned to Idaho to live in Boise.

Lois will be long remembered for her sense of enjoyment and quick wit. She loved to laugh.

Her other passions included gardening, art and cooking.

She was an avid golfer and was instrumental in making the golf course a success in its earliest years.

Lois also enjoyed traveling and for many years ventured throughout the Northwest with their travel trailer. Both she and Leo especially loved the Oregon coast.

She was preceded in death by siblings Bob and Kathryn Dick.

Survivors include sisters Naomi (Dick) Ralls and Patty (Dick) Strain, brothers Glenn and Jim Dick, husband Leo and sons Terry and Barbara Turner of Mountain Home, and Dr. Rick and Rose Turner of Boise, grandchildren Kelly and Ryan Waite-Turner, and Kris and Stephanie Turner and great-granddaughter Arden Tuner.
