Wrestlers pin additional wins

The Mountain Home Tigers ran their dual match record to 18-2 with lopsided wins over undermanned teams from Emmett and Bishop Kelly last Tuesday night in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium in Mountain Home.

Mountain Home 70, Emmett 10

Mountain Home won six of the eight matches actually wrestled Tuesday night -- five by pins -- and picked up points off six Emmett forfeits in rolling to a 70-10 victory over the Huskies.

Picking up wins by pins for the Tigers were Tanner Sessions (145 pounds), Taylor Ogaard (182), Josh Deal (195), Solomon Chung-Hee (220) and Jose Ortiz (285).

Charlie Shoemaker won by major decision (14-6) at 160 pounds. Pierce Mederios (106), Jacob Lucas (113), David Welle (120), Tyler Heath (132), Jordan Pendleton (138) and Jacob Ryan (170) all won by forfeit.

Dillon Park lost a major decision (12-0) at 126 pounds and Jack Brown lost by pin at 152 pounds. Both teams forfeited at 98 pounds.

Mountain Home 72,

Bishop Kelly 6

Mountain Home won all eight matches -- six by pins -- that were wrestled against Bishop Kelly last Tuesday night, as they crushed the Knights 72-6.

Winning by pins for the Tigers over Bishop Kelly were Tyler Heath (132 pounds), Jordan Pendleton (138), Tanner Sessions (145), Levi Abrahamson (152), Taylor Ogaard (182) and Solomon Chung-Hee (285).

Jacob Ryan won by decision (8-3) at 170 pounds and Josh Deal won by decision (8-3) at 195 pounds.

Picking up forfeit wins were Pierce Mederios (106), Jacob Lucas (113), Dillon Park (126), Charlie Shoemaker (160) and Dallin Dearing (220). The Tigers forfeited at 120 pounds and both teams forfeited at 98 pounds.

The Tigers take on top-ranked Kuna Thursday night at Kuna and close out their regular season schedule Friday night at home against Timberline. The district tourney runs from Feb. 20 to 21 at Bishop Kelly.
