Troy Nunez-Murphy

Troy Michael Nunez-Murphy passed away on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014.

Troy was born June 10, 1970, in New Orleans, to Ronald and Beverly Nunez. He was a 1988 graduate from Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, N.C.

Troy served in the USAF as a medical technician.

On Dec. 26, 2006, Troy and Stephen Murphy sealed their love with a commitment ceremony in Las Vegas. He worked several add jobs in town until he received his current position with TSA upon its inception in 2002.

If you had a car, Troy was more than willing to give you a helping hand with your auto issues and soon became your favorite mechanic. More often than not you could find Troy on the side of the road on I-84 between Mountain Home and Boise helping a motorist in need.

Troy is survived by his life partner, Stephen, his father, Ronald, and Cheryl Nunez, his mother, Beverly Nunez, sister Joy Garscadden, brothers Ronald Nunez and Adam Nunez, niece Jamie Garscadden and his friends who became his adopted family

A memorial service was held Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Rost Funeral Home-McMurtrey Chapel.
