Ina M. Fife, 84, of Mountain Home passed away on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013.

A service will be announced at a later date. Her ashes will be placed next to her husband at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Ina was born April 27, 1929, in Turley, Mo., the daughter of Earl and Luetecha Williams.

She married Donald LaVern Fife on June 14, 1945.

Ina was a giving person, which was reflected in her daily life and years of volunteer work. She received the "Neil Howard Award" in appreciation for her volunteering at the Idaho Youth Ranch in Mountain Home.

Ina was also very patriotic. Her husband, Don, served in the military in the 1940s. Ina showed signs of being patriotic as a young child, when she would have her younger brother march like a soldier and sing Soldier Boy. That is one of his most endearing memories of time spent with his big sister. Ina went on to serve with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She served with the Caldwell branch and continued her service in Twin Falls as an elected officer.

Ina loved all of her family and cherished the time given her to be with them. In her later years she received a "Mother of the Year Award." She was a nurturer and how fitting and well deserved this award was because of her nature. Ina truly left this world a better place, one person at a time.

Her radiant smile and gracious manner will be forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

Ina is survived by her son, Dan, and his wife, Mickie Fife, daughters Linda Herbert and Donna Meyer, her brother, Charles, and his wife, Remigia Williams, 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her parents, Earl and Luetecha Williams, her sister, Betty Lou, and her great-grandson Christopher.
