Grand View man dies in Christmas Eve crash

Cody Cover, 23, of Grand View, died at about 8:45 a.m. on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, in a one-vehicle rollover crash on State Highway 78 at milepost 61, near Grand View.

According to the Idaho State Police, Cover was traveling east in a 1996 Dodge pickup, when he lost control and rolled his vehicle. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.

Cover was not wearing a seatbelt.

The eastbound and westbound lanes of State Highway 78 were blocked for approximately three hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
