Noise issues fall on deaf ears

Wednesday, August 7, 2013

Dear editor:

Noise complaint!

Forget going to city council meetings or complaining to police about noise. Police work for the city, not you.

Under the advice of city attorney, the city council will not do anything. Their advice to "get a lawyer and sue the person making the noise."

The kumbayah of the lawyers in town is good for the economy. "Their pockets, your paycheck" seems to be their motto. The noise ordinance applies only to you, not them, and believe me when I say "you break it and enjoy your ticket" and court. But they work with "no noise restrictions. They are railroad" you know (city council lawyer).

Eighty to ninety decibels for six days a week from 0730 to 2000 hours. Enjoy! Welcome to Mountain Home. Petition persons on N. 2nd West St. I'm sorry, I tried.
