Marjorie Sellman

Marjorie Ann Lemon Sellman of Mountain Home, passed away Aug. 2, 2013, after a valiant fight with cancer with her family by her side.

Marjorie was born in Tehachapi, Calif., on Aug. 3, 1927, to David and Nora Coffelt Lemon, the third of four daughters.

She met her future husband, Jack Sellman, in elementary school, and after Jack's return from military duty during World War II, married him in Long Beach, Calif. She was a graduate of Long Beach Jordan High School. When they moved to Victorville, Calif., in 1954, Jack opened Sellman's Desert Floors and Marge worked in the office as a bookkeeper, receptionist and interior decorator.

In Victorville, Marge was a member of the Assistance League and was also a member of the Victorville Rotary Club as a Rotary Ann.

She enjoyed water skiing, traveling with her husband and grandchildren in their motor home, reading, needlepoint and decorating her home.

When Jack retired in 1990, they moved to Mountain Home, where together with their son and daughter-in-law, they owned and operated Fort Running Bear RV Resort.

Marjorie is survived by her sons, Steven (Maryl Ball) Sellman of Mountain Home, Blaine (Vickie) Sellman of Santa Margarita, Calif., grandchildren Maj. Blaine (Vannessa) Sellman of Fort Meade, Md., Colby (fiance Andris Hodosy) Sellman of La Jolla, Calif., Jennifer Sellman Prince of Atascadero, Calif., and great-grandchildren Johnathan and Juliet Sellman of Rincon, Ga., and Keandra and Jadon Prince and Ryker Love of Atascadero, Calif. She is also survived by her sister, Marion Lemon Nickle, of Seal Beach, Calif., and nieces Margo Nickle (Bob) Alexander of New York, N.Y., and Joan Nickle (Michael) Nagel of Huntington Harbor, Calif., as well her youngest sister, Norma Lemon Estes, and dearest friends Jack and Dorothy Seals and their daughters, Marsha and Marilyn, of Victorville, Calif.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Sellman, sister Dorothy Lemon DeMattia, and her parents.

At Marge's request, there will be a private family service in the fall where her ashes and those of her husband will be interred in Victorville.

She asked that in lieu of flowers, please thank a veteran for his or her service to our country.

Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
