Charlene Joy Bush, 65, of Mountain Home, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at a local care center.

Services will be held on Thursday, June 27, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, with a viewing from 9:30-10:45 a.m. and services beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Charlene was born Dec. 7, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of John and Maxine Berry. She attended Whetstone High School in Columbus and Belleville Community College in Belleville, Ill., where she received her CNA.

She married Ronald Bush on Dec. 19, 1969 in Columbus, Ohio.

Together they lived in several places, including: Columbus, Ohio; Arizona; Maryland; Greece; Texas; Illinois, and most recently, Mountain Home.

Charlene worked accounting while in Ohio, she worked for RG Berry as a warehouse stocker, she was a CNA at a nursing home and volunteered at Mountain Home Air Force Base, for hospitals in the record departments.

Her hobbies included her grandkids (most important thing to her), crocheting, knitting and reading. She also volunteered with Girl Scouts, school bands and with youth bowling.

Mom was so strong and brave to the end. We will love and miss.

Charlene is survived by her husband, Ronald Bush, of Mountain Home, her daughter, Melissa Bush, of Mountain Home, her daughter, Jennifer and her husband, Brian Root, of Mountain Home, her grandkids, David Root, Alanna Root, Alexi Root, and Ashlyn Root, and her sister, Judy Berry, of Columbus, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
