Maureen Chaney

Maureen A. Chaney, 78, of Mountain Home, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at her home.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, with a viewing from 9:30-10:45 a.m. and funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Maureen was born Sept. 1, 1934, in Ipswich, England, to Percy and Gertrude Freeman.

After high school Maureen completed two years of nursing school.

On Feb. 6, 1954, Maureen marred Robert D. Chaney in Whitton Church Village, of Whitton, England. They lived in New York, New Jersey and have been in Mountain Home since 1971.

Maureen is survived by her husband, Bob, her son, Robert J., and his wife, Janice Chaney, of Mountain Home, grandson Chad Lee and his wife, Jennifer Chaney, of Apache Junction, Ariz., grandson John Dale Chaney of Denver, Colo., great-grandson Joseph Robert Chaney, her sister, Rita Cox (Leslie), and her brother, Anthony Freeman, both of Ipswich, England.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Terry Freeman and Richard Miller, and her daughter, Karen Sue Chaney.
