Adele Bitt-Steele

Edelitche "Adele" Bitt-Steele, also known as Louise, was born on April 4, 1938, to Alice Woofie Bitt in Owyhee, Nev., and passed away on March 12, 2013.

She was raised by her grandparents, Ed and Maggie Bitt, along with Eva, Telford and Edwin.

She loved her sports -- golf, tennis, football and going to grandchildren sporting events. She also loved Court TV and cooking shows. The family would head to places such as Bruneau River, Trout Creek and Indian Hot Springs on fishing trips. In the winter months, she loved to do her puzzles and stay up all night until finished. She also enjoyed harvesting spuds.

Adele was preceded in death by her husband, Alven, her mother, Alice Woofie, and many cousins and relatives.

She is survived by her children, Earl and Leslie Miracle of Boise, Wayne Steele of Boise, Will and Pat Thomas of Bruneau, Lance and Alice Gennette, Alven Jr. and Shona Steele of Fruitland, and her sister, Eva Modesto of Owyhee, 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was also considered grandmother to many!

Funeral services were held on March 16, 2013, in Duck Valley and burial was held at Miller Creek Cemetery.
