Fatal crash reported on Highway 20

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

A Mountain Home man was killed late Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 20.

According to an initial report from the Idaho State Police, Shane Michael Foster, 44, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe on the highway when it went off the roadway near milepost 96, in the vicinity of the Mountain Home Reservoir and Reservoir Road.

The driver then overcorrected his steering, which caused the vehicle to roll off the right shoulder of the road. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
