Christopher Steven Luxford, 30, died May 15, 2013, in Mountain Home, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 24, at 3 p.m. at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

He was born on June 14, 1982, in Las Vegas, Nev., to Diana Lynn Luxford and Sidney Walter Luxford Jr. He was the first-born child and was looked up to by his younger siblings, Matthew and Jennifer Luxford.

Chris lived most of his life in Lancaster, Calif., where he had three children, Serenity Luxford, Sidney Luxford, and his stepson, Steven Donovan. He met his wife, Vanessa, in 2004 and they later moved to Mountain Home, Idaho, with his brother, Matthew Luxford. His youngest daughter, Adriana Luxford, was born in Mountain Home.

Chris was a jack of all trades. He was a very hard worker and would help anyone, anytime with anything. He was not afraid to get dirty.

He was a forest firefighter with the Mendocino Hot Shots. He also worked many other places including C&B Trucking, Flying H Farms, Bennet Creek Farms, Young Investments, Riverside Roofing, AJ's Restaurant, Trace Inc. and for Larry and Marcus Mashburne among others.

Chris loved spending time with his family, drawing, telling stories and making everyone laugh. He was a loving father, husband, son and friend. He will be remembered often with a smile on anyone's face who held a memory of him.

Christopher is survived by his mother, Diana Luxford, grandparents Leroy and Gloria McAdam, brother Matthew Luxford, sister Jennifer Luxford, wife Vanessa Rodriquez, children Serenity, Sidney and Adriana Luxford and stepson Steven Donovan, nephews Tyler, Trent and Jacob Luxford, Caleb Newman- Maness, Brian, Alex, Mikey, nieces Bobby and Geneva, sister-in-laws Crystal Maness and Michelle Newman, mother-in-law Betty Rodriguez, his uncles Jimmy McAdam, John Kinsey, Steve Thurman, his aunts, Teri Kinsey, Donna Thurman, cousins Katie and Jayna McAdam, Jackie and Ricky Kinsey and Melinda Thurman and step-father Garret Green.

He was preceeded in death by his father, Sidney Walter Luxford Jr,, and his great-aunt, Vivi Anzalone, and Lorraine Sizemore.
