Pausing for prayer...

Father Eladio Vieyra, parochial vicar for Our Lady of Good Counsel parish, leads a prayer during the 62nd Annual National Day of Prayer observance, held last Thursday at the Elmore County Courthouse.

More than 50 people gathered at the local courthouse to celebrate, unite and join in prayer as part of the national observance.

Last week's prayer event focused on the theme, "Pray for America."
