Hintons celebrate 60th

M.D. and Lawanda Hinton will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary during a party on March 23.

The couple was married in the First Baptist Church of Rusk, Texas, on March 20, 1953.

Their children include Sharon Hamilton and husband Jim of Alamogordo, N.M.; Cindy Hinton of Houston, Texas; Daryl Hinton of Boise; and the late Andrea Oakland. They have two grandsons, Dr. Steven Hamilton and wife Nina of Edmond, Okla.; and Michael Hinton currently stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C. They have one great-granddaughter, Luciana Hamilton.

The children invite friends of the couple to join them in celebrating the couple's anniversary at 5 p.m. March 23 at the Mountain Home Senior Center, 1000 N. 3rd East St. The couple requests no gifts, adding that "the joy of people's company" is their desired gift.
