City prepares for Wreaths Across America

Local representatives participate in last year's Wreaths Across America event. This year's observance is scheduled for Dec. 15 in Carl Miller Park.

The Mountain Home community will join cities across the nation next month to honor its military veterans during the annual Wreaths Across America Day observance.

Scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Dec. 15 in Carl Miller Park, community representatives will place specially designated wreaths in honor of the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine as well as current and former prisoners or war and those still missing in action.

    No matter the weather, I will be there for this memorial event. It would be great to see a large crowd there as well.
