Student wins patriotic art contest

Col. Christopher Sage, left, 366th Operations Group Commander at Mountain Home Air Force Base, was the guest speaker for the Glenns Ferry Veterans Day Community Dinner. In the center of the picture above is Becky Young, winner of the Idaho Young American Patriotic Art Contest with her pencil sketch, and George Peacock, past state commander for the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The VFW sponsored the art contest.
Becky Young, a student attending Mountain Home High School, was announced as the Idaho winner for the 2012 Young American Patriotic Art Contest promoted by the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Young was sponsored by the Glenns Ferry Auxiliary 3646.
