A member of Mountain Home High School's golf team placed during the 4A boys state golf tournament held last week.

Brent Sexauer was the only member of the Mountain Home squad to make it to the state event.

During the tournament, he carded an 81 on the first day and shot an 82 the second, which tied him for 37th place overall.

The Twin Falls Bruins ran away with the 4A boys state golf title last week at Blackfoot, besting their nearest competition by 24 strokes. The Bruins shot a 579 two-day total.

Middleton was second with a 603 total. Shelley was a shot back at 604, Century came with with a 616, Bishop Kelly had 618, Columbia had 628, Moscow and Hillcrest both finished with a 632 while Canyon Ridge of Twin Falls carded a 674.

The Tiger boys golf team placed sixth at this year's District III 4A golf tournament, which kept them from qualifying for state as a team. However, Sexauer led the team by shooting a 75 at the district finals, which earned him a seat at state.
