Local Girls on the Run team participates in Hornet Run

Members of Mountain Home's Girls on the Run team pose for a group photo. The students recently completed the annual Girls on the Run program aimed at promoting self confidence in these youngsters.
Nine girls from the Mountain Home area tested their level of physical fitness during a recent competition that wrapped up a local self confidence program for these youngsters.

The students were among more than 450 girls participating in the Hornet Run in Boise.

The recent road race was part of the Girls on the Run program -- a non-competitive, after-school program geared for those in third to sixth grade.
