Wind linked to power outage

Strong winds triggered a wide-spread power outage that affected a large section of Mountain Home on Saturday evening.
The wind broke several pieces of equipment on a power pole around 7:20 p.m., disrupting electrical service to nearly 2,260 customers, according to Stephanie McCurdy, a spokesperson for Idaho Power.
