The Mountain Home Lady Tigers won one out of four games over the weekend at the Idaho Sporting Goods Spring Classic in Meridian.

Eagle 15, Mountain Home 2

The Lady Tigers lost their opening game of the Idaho Sporting Goods Spring Classic to Eagle after four innings because of a time limit.

Maeghan Pomerantz had two of the Lady Tigers' five hits against Eagle, including a double and two RBIs. Krissy Elliott, Courtney Christiansen and Teresa Fredell also had hits with Christiansen knocking in a run and Fredell adding a double.

Madi Karst suffered the loss, pitching into the third inning before being relieved by Heather Adams.

Hillcrest 5, Mountain Home 4

The Lady Tigers came up one run short in a 4-5 loss to Hillcrest on Friday as the ISG tournament continued.

Mountain Home 11, Madison 3

Recovering from their prior losses, the Lady Tigers opened ISG play Saturday with a decisive 11-3 win over Madison.

A four-run seventh inning for Mountain Home put the game out of reach of the Lady Bobcats.

Madison Siefferman had three hits and drove in two runs against Madison. Courtney Christiansen and Madi Karst both had two hits with Karst driving in two runs and Christiansen adding one. Krissy Elliott, Maeghan Pomerantz and Teresa Fredell also had hits with Elliott adding an RBI and Fredell scoring three runs. Kelly Elliott also had an RBI.

Mountain View 6,

Mountain Home 1

The Lady Tigers closed out the ISG schedule against Mountain View on a sour note as they lost to the Lady Mavericks, 1-6.

Mountain Home managed just two hits in the game that included a double by Krissy Elliott and an RBI-single by Courtney Christiansen that scored Elliott in the first inning.

Madi Karst suffered the loss, giving up all six runs and got relief help from Heather Adams.

Mountain Home Lady Tiger softball coach Chris Asbury talked about his girls' efforts over the weekend.

"Day one was kind of disappointing," he said. "We definitely didn't play our best ball. But day two we bounced back and had a good showing against Madison and a very respectable showing against a top 5A team in Mountain View."

The Lady Tigers, now 5-4 on the season, returned to conference action this week. They faced Skyview on Monday before heading on the road to take on Kuna on Thursday, April 5, followed by Columbia on Friday.
