Contested housing development moves forward

A contested housing development that drew public opposition over a nearly three-year period moved forward last week following a recommendation to approve its final plat.

During a meeting Feb. 15, members of the county planning and zoning commission unanimously approved the land survey submitted by developers backing the proposed Clear Springs Ranch Subdivision.

    Another example of the so called leaders of the community not following the will of the people and looking at kick-backs from the developers.

    Get ready for your home values to drop again once they have all these dwelling available.

    This development doesn't do anything for Mountain Home, the school district has offered to build schools for the development; I guess they will just ask for another bond or levy. Our Sheriffs office will be spread thinner, and hope you don't need an ambulance if it is on a run out to the county line.

    The best part is it will do nothing for Mountain Home in the buisness area. They will be 20 miles from Mountain Home and 20 miles from Boise...wonder were they will shop our Wallmart Jr. or all the choices in Boise.
