Mtn Homey's
This is a story of our town, yes Mountain Home, ID! This a story for all that has lived in Mtn Home and from all walks of life!
I came to Mtn Home in 1979 and from the first day I was there I began to meet the best people I have ever met! I was 16 years old at the time, just at the end of my high school days. Among the many friends I had, I had the privilege in meeting 4 special people that had a great impact on my life!
The folks of Mtn Home in the 70's and 80's were a special old school God fearing people! there was the hard working by day and the hard play at night! A few of us started a Rock Band, called "The Granite Band" We played all over town and had such a great experience meeting all the good folks of Mtn Home!
I have many friends from Mtn Home now, and I have also lost some really close friends during those years. You know that life is short when you have experienced the loss of close friends! So a group of us close friends are having a "Mtn Homey's Rock & Roll Reunion weekend" @ CJ Strike-North Park, June 23rd & 24th! If you lived in Mtn Home in the 70's and 80's or lived there your whole life you're invited! For a lot of us it has been over 30 years since we have seen each other! It would be GRAND if we could be all together for a weekend! I'm Jimmy Peckenschneider and I'm a Mtn Homey!
