Council approves plan to refinance police building loan

The city council has approved a plan that's expected to pay off the remaining debt on its police department building several years ahead of schedule.

The action came during a special meeting Jan. 10.

Mountain Home is one of nine communities across the state refinancing their bonds or certificates of participation to cover expenses associated with large-scale construction or improvement projects like the police headquarters here.
