Rose Niedling

Rose Ann (Kite) Niedling, 84, of Mountain Home, passed away on Jan. 1, 2012, at a Boise hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 6, at the Christian and Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Rose was born on Feb. 12, 1927, to John and Ann Wasson, in Mountain Grove, Mo. She moved to Brainerd, Minn., with her parents as a child of 5. She was raised and schooled in Brainerd. She came to Mountain Home in 1947 and married Rex Kite on June 14 of that year. They had five wonderful children: Sherrie, Jackie, Charlotte, Delbert and Vida. They later divorced and Rose remarried TSgt. Timothy Niedling on Nov. 28, 1968.

Rose worked at Joes Club, the Rendezvous and the Royal Club in Mountain Home. She also studied and received her PN nursing certificate and pen during this time.

She liked to take her little side trips to Jackpot with her loving husband, Tim.

Rose was a devoted mother and wife. She loved her children above everything else.

Rose is survived by her children, Charlotte, Delbert and Vida, ten grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild and lots of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tim, a daughter, a son, a daughter-in-law,and both her parents.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Christian and Baptist Church, 265 N. 4th East St., Mountain Home, ID 83647.
