Gloria Maye Sinclair, 80, of Houghton Lake, Mich., passed away Dec. 26, 2011, in Alma, Mich.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 30, at Blair Stubbs Chapel in Mexia, Texas, with Bro. Robert Barnett officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1 p.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

Gloria was born July 30, 1931, in Prairie Hill, Texas (on Christmas Creek), to Stell and Florence Thelma Green Waldrop.

She retired from the Mexia State School Food Service Department after many years of service.

She actively served as a Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star in Idaho and Michigan. Her love for God and her family was evident in her life.

Gloria loved the outdoors. In her early years, she loved to hunt and fish. She enjoyed mowing, gardening and caring for her yard. She, also, owned a florist shop for several years.

Gloria had an unforgettable smile that would light up any room.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Gloria is survived by her daughters, Glenda Sinclair of Galveston and Gwen Grubb Hulme of Jarrell; grandchildren Jennifer Yonker of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Jason Grubb of Boulder, Colo.; great-grandchildren Forrestt Zimmermann of Mountain Home, Idaho and Kalob Tuck of Waynesville, Ohio; and brothers Billy Waldrop of Coolidge, Stell Waldrop Jr. of Prairie Hill and G. W. Waldrop of Prairie Hill.
