On the road

Just returned from the Professional rodeo Cowboys Association annual Committee Convention held in conjuction with the Wrangler national finals Rodeo, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Had the opportunity to meet with the cowboys and cowgirls from Idaho who made the finals. Cody DeMers, bareback bronc rider from Kimberly, Olin Hannum, steer wrestler from Malad, Matt Shiozawa, tie down roper from Chubbuck and Ms. Sue Smith, WPRA barrel racer from Blackfoot. At this early stage of the finals, all are doing well and in the hunt for the worlds championship in their respective events.

During round one of the WNFR, RAM Rodeo, national sponsor affiliated with Dodge, recognized the Daniel Dopps Memorial PRCA rodeo held each June here in Mountain Home as one of the best small rodeos they sponsor in the Wilderness Circuit of the PRCA. RAM has pledged their continued support for the 2012 version coming this June at Optimist Park here in Mountain Home.

The Daniel Dopps rodeo committee is hard at work preparing for this coming years event. Be watching for our annual BOWL WITH THE BULL bowling tournament held at freedom Lanes, March/April time frame. All proceeds go towards arena improvements.
