Power outage traps woman in elevator

A power outage that occurred last Thursday left a woman stranded in one of the city's few elevators -- and resulted in an improvement in the Elmore County Extrication Unit's capabilities.

The outage occurred at 9:21 a.m. when a dump truck hit a power pole, tripping power to more than 1,850 customers on the north side of Mountain Home and in Prairie, according to Idaho Power.
