Woman charged with arson in apartment fire

A 52-year-old Mountain Home woman was arrested Friday on first-degree arson charges, for allegedly setting fire to the apartment complex at 415 NW Bradford, where she lived.

Sherry Sue Scott remains in the Elmore County Jail after her arraignment Monday, during which bond was set at $100,000.

Scott's apartment was heavily damaged, but other units in the complex suffered only smoke damage.
