Flags waved and tears flowed as families reunited last Wednesday when airmen from Mountain Home Air Force Base returned home following combat duty in Afghanistan.

The group of more than 300 maintenance specialists, support personnel, pilots and weapons system officers represent the bulk of people scheduled to return this month after serving more than six months in the Middle East.

On Sunday, families welcomed home additional members from the 389th Fighter Squadron as they retuned to Mountain Home, flying back in the six F-15E Strike Eagles they used during their deployment.

  • I dont understand why the newspapers and television stations are reporting that there will be more soldiers returning next week.....Seems to be that this type of thing could put these men and women in danger...might as well put a target on thier backs.
