Middleton 7, Mountain Home 0

The Mountain Home girls soccer team found the going rough at Middleton last Monday, losing to the Lady Vikings 7-0.

Despite the team's efforts on the field, Mountain Home was unable to get a ball in the net.

C.J. Bish had ten saves for the Lady Tigers as goalkeeper.

Mountain Home 2, Emmett 2

The Lady Tigers hosted Emmett Wednesday at Eastside Park in Mountain Home and battled to a 2-2 tie with the Lady Huskies.

Melissa Jessup and Mady Vines scored goals for Mountain Home.

C.J. Bish had 17 saves on goal for Mountain Home, which ended its first pass through the conference schedule with a 1-6-1 conference mark.

"I think we really got sucked into playing a little bit lower standard of football than what we play, and it turned into a bit of a scrap towards the end and didn't need to be," said Mountain Home girls soccer coach Stephen Speak.

"We had our chances, but it's a point -- it's a draw, no loss -- we're heading in the right direction. The girls worked hard again -- 100 percent commitment -- you can't fault that," the coach added. "Just a little bit of inexperience sometimes when we come up against teams that are physically clumsy -- not physical with intent, but physically clumsy. It's frustrating for our girls and the refereeing really didn't take charge of the game. I was concerned that there may be some injuries, which there were."

Columbia 4, Mountain Home 2

The Lady Tigers traveled to Columbia High School in Nampa Saturday and dropped a 4-2 contest to the Lady Wildcats.

Mountain Home played at Nampa on Tuesday then hosts Caldwell on Thursday and the Skyview girls on Saturday.
