Pet blessing scheduled

A procession of dogs, cats and other pets and animals are expected to gather at the local Catholic church next month as part of a special ceremony.

Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church will hold a Blessing of Pets at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 2 in front of the parish building at 114 North 4th East Street.
