Schools not soliciting for new textbooks

Reports that some youth have been going door to door soliciting money for textbooks drew a blank from school officials last week.

"I've asked the principals and the only fundraiser going on other than the regular sports stuff is Hacker's Spellathon, which they do every year, and the kids are instructed not to go door to door," said Supt. Tim McMurtrey.
