Cross country girls win

The Mountain Home girls won Friday's Wood River Invitational cross country meet in Sun Valley.

The Lady Tigers won with 38 points. Twin Falls and Jerome both had 64 points, Kimberly had 94, Wood River 113, Canyon Ridge 116 and Buhl 194.

Keesha Janis Gibson led the Mountain Home girls, finishing fourth with a time of 23 minutes, 4.14 seconds. Meanwhile, Sarah Richins was fifth (23:28.90), Kacee Cameron sixth (23:45.77), Shelby Henrick 12th (24:30.74), Arial Groene 13th (24:31.64) and Rachel Goodman 32nd (27:23.78).

The Tiger boys finished sixth in the varsity competition. Burley won it with 53 points, Wood River and Buhl both had 72, Jerome had 93, Twin Falls 103, Mountain Home 147, Kimberly 186, Minico 224 and Canyon Ridge 248.

Mike Price led the Tiger boys with an eighth-place finish with an official time of 18:46.56.

Taylor Croft was 26th (19:56.27), Daniel Courtright 33rd (20:30.26), Andy Croft 36th (20:31.40), Steven Kreyche 39th (20:56.26) and Peyton Cline 50th (21:55.41).

Alicia Reynolds led the Mountain Home junior varsity girls, finishing sixth in a time of 27:42.36. Aundrea Dickenson was 10th (28:54.64), Tracy Gordon was 13th (her time of 29:40.26 was a new personal best) and Erica Cook finished 38th (36:56.48).

Jon Dodge led the Tiger boys in the JV meet, finishing 13th in a time of 21:45.07. Nolan Pasqualetti was 25th (23:14.66), Cody Ashby 30th (23:52.04), Andrew Turner 39th (24:48.56), Connor McCellen 43rd (25:25.63) and Bill King was 44th (25:28.97).

The Tigers go to the fairgrounds in Boise today to run in the Steven Thompson Memorial Centipede Race.
