Lady Tigers falter at net against Emmett, B.K.

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers saw their three-match win streak snapped Thursday night, as they came up against two unbeaten conference foes in Emmett and Bishop Kelly at a tri-match at Emmett.

The Lady Tigers went up against the host Lady Huskies first, and although they played them close games, lost the match in three straight.

Dylan Dean was 10/13 serving with one ace, five kills and five assists. Krissy Elliott was 8/8 on serves. Brittany Ryan and Dakota Dean were both 7/8 serving. Stephanie Jewell was 5/7 serving. Emilee Schetzle was 4/5 serving, Selena Foster had four kills and Hailey Belt was 1/1 serving, with four assists and one kill.

Bishop Kelly 25, 25, 25

Mountain Home 18, 17, 17

Bishop Kelly, which handed Emmett its first conference loss that night, also beat the Lady Tigers in three straight close games.

Emilee Schetzle was 10/13 on serves with two blocks. Dakota Dean was 8/9 serving and had four kills. Dylan Dean was 7/9 serving with seven assists and two kills. Stephanie Jewell was 7/7 on serves with one ace and four assists. Krissy Elliott was 5/5 serving with an ace and five digs. Brittany Ryan was 4/5 serving, Selena Foster had seven kills, Hailey Belt had three assists, three blocks and a kill, and Emma Wenger had one block.

Mountain Home also competed at the Twin Falls Invitational on Saturday.

They opened pool play against Gooding and lost 21-25, 25-23. They then faced Enterprise, Ore., and won 25-9, 25-5. They beat Dietrich 25-16, 20-18, and lost to Twin Falls 7-25, 20-25. That put them in second place in their pool and in the Gold Tournament bracket.

They opened Gold bracket play against the Twin Falls varsity and lost in two straight games, 7-25, 20-25. They then faced the Twin Falls JV and won 17-25, 25-22, 15-12. They faced the Twin Falls varsity again to see who would go to the championship match and lost 10-25, 18-25, to finish third in their bracket.

The Lady Tigers took a 3-3 conference and 11-10 overall record into Tuesday night's home match against Middleton. They travel to Caldwell Thursday and go to the Wood River Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
