JV boys split conference victories

The Tigers managed a split of their conference boys soccer games last week, losing to Skyview but beating Bishop Kelly.

Skyview 3, Mountain Home 1

Mountain Home saw last Tuesday's conference soccer game with Skyview get away from them in the second half, as they lost, 3-1, to the Hawks. Mountain Home's lone goal was scored by Michael Daniels.

Goalies Jack Richelieu had seven saves and Tomas Guillen had 12.

"We played a competitive first half -- an excellent first half," said Tiger boys soccer coach Jay Lockett. "The second half, we let down, and they came back."

Mountain Home 3, Bishop Kelly 1

The Tigers kept Bishop Kelly winless Thursday, downing the Knights 3-1 at Bishop Kelly.

Goals were scored by Tony McKenzie, Mike Daniels and Austin Lucas. Keeper Jack Richelieu had 19 saves on the day.

"These boys can be very proud of themselves," Lockett said. "This was a team win."

The JV tied Skyview at home on Tuesday, 1-1, with keeper Gavin Guillen making seven saves on goal.
