Former corrections worker sentenced for misconduct

A former staff member at a private juvenile corrections center in Mountain Home received a suspended jail sentence and two year's probation in a case involving inappropriate behavior with an inmate at the facility.

During her appearance in district court Monday morning, Stephanie L. Hoagland also agreed to pay more than $500 in fines and legal fees and is prohibited from having contact with anyone under the age of 18 with the exception of her family members.

  • you know if a man were to do that they would be in jail serving time and I for one think that she should be in jail it is never okay no matter who you are to touch or even think of hurting a child no matter if they are 1 or 18.... our justice system has failed once again... i think this is complete and udder bull.....

    This is were justice is BLIND, DEAF, and DUMB. Who said the justice system is fair; if she was a guy she would have got some serious time. She sould have to atleast register as a preditor/sex offender.
