Wednesday, June 29, 2011

The third free magazine produced by the Mountain Home News is available free to the public beginning today.

The magazine, "America: The Early Years," features a theme tied to the area's Fourth of July activities. It takes a look at the history of the nine cities that have served as capitals of the United States, a history of the U.S. Capitol building, which celebrates its 200th anniversary this year, and a look at the men who served as president of this nation prior to the election of George Washington.

The magazine is available at the Mountain Home News, the city library, will be distributed at the Fourth of July activities in Carl Miller Park, and at the Chamber of Commerce, the Desert Mountain Visitor's Center and several local businesses, including Mountain Home Auto Ranch, Cycle City of Mountain Home, Jim's Lumber, Grinde's Diner, Ageless Beauty, Guaranty Title, Ace Glass and the Golden Crown Restaurant.
