Elmore deputies aid in Brownlee accident

Thursday, June 9, 2011

The Marine Patrol units of the Elmore County Sheriff's Office were called in this weekend to assist with the recovery efforts of two people who lost their lives in a boating accident at Brownlee Reservoir.

The Elmore County unit was asked to help because it is one of the few in the state that has a side-scan imager, which can resolve objects underwater.

Deputies spent two full days attempting to recover the bodies of a man and his daughter who drowned in the river's swift-flowing currents at the reservoir.
