Court case ends in mistrial

District Judge Richard Greenwood ruled a mistrial in a case involving a former staff member at a juvenile corrections center in Mountain Home.

Stephanie L. Hoagland originally faced two counts of sexual contact with a prisoner during a trial that ended here Friday morning.

During the opening day of the trial, one of the felony counts was dismissed after the judge ruled it wasn't legally sufficient under Idaho statutes.

  • total technicality is why she got off...had nothing to do with "being one of our own"...she should of gone to jail for what she did.
