Phillips to marry Hoskin

Jay and Jo Phillips of Mountain Home have announced the engagement of their daughter, Tawny Jo Phillips, to Ryan Wells Hoskin, son of Rick and Cammy Hoskin, of Providence, Utah.

The couple will marry Thursday, March 3, 2011, in the Logan LDS Temple.

An open house will be held on Saturday, March 5, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the LDS Church at 1150 N. 8th East St. in Mountain Home. All their friends are invited to join them in that celebration.

Tawny is a 2010 honors graduate of Utah State University, receiving degrees in psychology with a Chinese minor. She served a Mandarin Chinese-speaking mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Taipei, Taiwan, from 2008-2010.

She has worked for Marathon Cheese Corporation, taught gymnastics at Mountain Home Air Force Base and is currently employed by Uinta Academy.

Ryan currently is attending Utah State University, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Spanish-speaking Los Angeles, Calif., from 2006-2008. He currently is employed by Elements in Providence, Utah.

After the wedding, the couple will reside in Utah for six months before embarking on a year-long work adventure in Taiwan.
