Lloyd Maurice Law, 62, of Grand View, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, due to complications from pneumonia.

Services will be held at the Grand View LDS Chapel, located at 359450 Highway 78 in Grand View, on Saturday, Jan. 8, with a viewing from 10-10:45 a.m., and the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Grand View. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

He was born in Logan, Utah, on April 9, 1948, and was the oldest child of Maurice and JoAnn Law. He graduated from Kuna High School.

He served as a sergeant in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970 and was honorably discharged. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his service.

Lloyd will be remembered for his passion for his cows, horses, dogs and grandchildren. His lifelong dream was to be a rancher, which he was through and through.

He had a great sense of humor and was always teasing everyone.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children Laurie Deming (Chris), Philip Law (Sue), Melanie Talbott (Amos) and Brent Law; and his grandchildren, Jeff, Martin, Jimmy, Kassidy, Mary, Rowdy, Jonathan and Tucker. He is also survived by his parents and his sisters: Barbara Shelley, Nancy Maier and Maureen Smithee.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry.
