Bruneau Valley Library opens 2011 season of Bruneau and Beyond

Wednesday, January 5, 2011

The Bruneau Valley Library will open its 2011 season of Bruneau and Beyond with genealogy specialist Gene Williams of Boise as its speaker on Wednesday, January 19. The event is open to the public.

The program is made possible by a grant from the Walter & Leona Dufresne fund of the Idaho Community Foundation. Also, responsible is the Idaho Humanities Council for underwriting the cost of the speaker through its Speakers' Bureau.

Mrs. Williams' talk will focus on researching and writing family and personal histories. She has been on the Board of Certified Genealogists since 1995, and managed the Idaho State Historical Society's Genealogical Collection for ten years. She taught at Boise State University, lectured at both BYU Idaho and BYU at Provo and currently has her own genealogical research business specializing in family research.

Lunch will be served at noon at the Library in downtown Bruneau at 32073 Ruth Street followed by the program. There is no charge; however, the Library requests that anyone wishing to attend either the program or the luncheon should contact the Libary by Monday, January 17th. Reservations can be made by calling the library director at 845-2131 or 845-2345
