Community response helps fill local food pantries

Friday, January 7, 2011

It seems the season of giving took a life of its own across Mountain Home in recent weeks.

Pantries at two of the city's main food banks are full once again. Hundreds of families facing extreme financial hardships received additional boxes of food that helped them make it through the holiday season.

"Mountain Home came through again. We have full shelves," said Terri Cornford, county coordinator with the local El-Ada Community Action Agency in Mountain Home.
