P&Z set to hear proposed 'city' plan

Wednesday, January 5, 2011

Elmore County's planning and zoning commission resumes a public hearing next week regarding plans to build a second planned community west of Mountain Home.

Scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Jan. 12 at War Memorial Hall in Mountain Home, the meeting was originally scheduled for Dec. 1 but postponed due to adverse winter weather.

Spanning 5,000 acres, the Mayfield Townsite project calls for building a self-sustaining community at the border of Elmore and Ada counties.

  • Just what the area needs...MORE homes for sale. Great idea. Almost as great of an idea as a nuclear power plant on prime farm land near private homes and the Snake River. Oh---and the AEHI lead man, Mark Pecchinino is involved with this project TOO! What a shock. I smell AEHI part II (same players new game). GREAT IDEA!!!
