Barbara Cresse
Barbara Jean Cresse, 78, of Mountain Home, died of natural causes Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at a Boise hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.
Barbara was born Aug. 14, 1932, in Los Angeles, Calif., to George M. and Mary E. Megica. She graduated from Central High School in Washington, D.C., in 1951 and then attended George Washington University.
She met Jerre at Randolf Air Force Base and they married at Lackland Air Force Base on Aug. 10, 1956. Barbara and Jerre had three sons, Steve, Dave and Bill, and now have two granddaughters, Emma and Quinn.
Barbara was a devoted sister, wife, and mother, an avid reader and she loved movies. Barbara also enjoyed travel. She traveled extensively in Europe during Jerrešs Air Force career and later opened and managed the Global Travel office in Mountain Home. She was a former president of the Mountain Home Rotary Club.
She is survived by her husband, Jerre, sister Elizabeth and brother-in-law Ralph Short, son William and daughter-in-law Ktrina, and son Steven and daughter-in-law Karen.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother and son David.
