Coffee house readings set

The new edition of "The Whistle Pig" will be available.

The semi-annual Coffee House will honor local writers included in the new 2010 edition of The Whistle Pig: An Elmore County Literary Journal, Vol. 2.

The free event is sponsored by the Mountain Home Arts Council and will be held in the commons area located in the Mountain Home Public Library on Friday, Oct. 22.

The Coffee House gives local readers a venue to share their original writing. The readers, writers, poets and storytellers provide a wide variety of personal lyric, poetry, letters, cowboy poetry, drama sketches and human interest stories.
