Super Safe Halloween party set

The annual Super Safe Halloween, sponsored by the city recreation department, will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31, at Hacker Middle School.

The free carnival, which includes games and activities, also features some changes from previous celebrations.

The costume contest now starts at 7 p.m. and includes categories for those up to age 12, along with a similar competition for adults and families.

Parks and recreation also needs donations of candy and prizes. People and local businesses may drop off donations at the parks and recreation office through Oct. 29. For more information, call Debra Brito at 587-2112.
